St Andrews Sukhumvit 107 brought the Steps vocational model onto a mainstream school campus, with a training centre and cafe on site where neurodivergent students follow an alternative pathway without leaving the school community. It is the first time the full Steps model has been built into a wider academic environment in Thailand.
The question it answers is the one that keeps parents of older children awake: you found therapy and learning support for a small child, and then what? This is an attempt at a real answer, a route through secondary school that ends in life skills and employability rather than a cliff edge at sixteen.
It also does something quieter for the mainstream students, who grow up in a school where this is simply normal.
