North Light is a specialist centre for deaf and hard of hearing children, from newborns through school age. It covers hearing assessment, guidance on hearing technology, listening and spoken language development, individual hearing training and speech rehabilitation, intensive language programmes and occupational therapy for developmental stimulation, with a strong parent coaching component.

This is a narrow specialism done properly, and there is very little else like it in Bangkok. If a newborn hearing screen has flagged something, or a hearing aid or cochlear implant has been fitted and you need the listening and language work that has to follow, this is the place to ask about.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:00 and Saturday 8:00 to 17:00.

Worth knowing

The centre's website and services are in Thai. Expat families without Thai may want to bring a Thai-speaking friend or interpreter to the first appointment.
