IPC, formally the International Pre-School Centre, was founded in 1983 by Khun Marianne Chirathivat and family, making it one of Bangkok's oldest dedicated preschools, predating most of the city's current wave of international kindergartens by well over a decade.
The Chirathivat family name carries significant local business recognition in Thailand, and IPC's founding by a member of that family reflects a broader pattern of established Thai families investing early in international-standard early childhood education for the local and expatriate community.
As a preschool specifically focused on early childhood education for young children, rather than a full K-12 institution, IPC functions as a starting point that families move on from, similar to Tiny Tots, once children reach primary school age.
With over four decades of operating history, IPC has a longer track record than nearly all of Bangkok's other dedicated international preschools, most of which opened considerably more recently.
