Heathfield formed in 2007 from the former Lord Shaftesbury International School, in partnership with Heathfield School in Kidderminster, UK, giving it a UK institutional link similar in structure to Harrow or Shrewsbury, though on a considerably smaller scale. It follows the English National Curriculum through IGCSE and A-Levels.
The school sits in the Saphan Sung area, away from the more concentrated cluster of international schools in central Sukhumvit, and deliberately keeps its community small, positioning itself as a genuinely community-focused option rather than competing on scale with Bangkok's larger British schools.
Because Heathfield formed out of an existing school's transition rather than opening fresh, it carries some institutional continuity predating its current UK partnership, even though the Heathfield-branded identity itself dates to 2007.
