Basis International School Bangkok

BASIS Bangkok is the 35th school in the BASIS Curriculum network, a US-based charter school system known specifically for its subject-specialist teaching model, where students work with a different expert teacher for each core subject from an early age rather than a single generalist homeroom teacher. It opened in 2019 next to Central Rama 2.

The subject-specialist structure is the school's defining academic feature and a genuine point of difference from most other schools in Bangkok, since it means even young students are taught math by a math specialist, science by a science specialist, and so on, rather than one teacher covering all core subjects.

BASIS Curriculum schools are generally regarded as academically rigorous and fast paced, and that reputation for a demanding academic environment is part of what specifically draws families to BASIS Bangkok over some of the city's other American curriculum options.
