Amnuay Silpa School

Amnuay Silpa runs a genuinely dual curriculum rather than an English-medium school with Thai bolted on. In the younger years, students learn simultaneously in Thai and English within the same classroom, taught side by side by native speaker teachers in each language. Moving into secondary school, subjects like maths, science, and history split into parallel Thai-language and English-language classes that are deliberately coordinated to reinforce one another, letting students work toward both Thai national exams and the IGCSE and A-Level track.

The school also brands itself around a Thinking School framework, developed in partnership with Exeter University, aimed at building critical and reflective thinking into everyday lessons rather than teaching purely to the test. That approach earned ANS Advanced Thinking School accreditation, membership in FOBISIA, and full CIS accreditation, making it the first bilingual school in Thailand to hold CIS status.

The central Bangkok campus, a short walk from Phaya Thai BTS station, has separate purpose built buildings for its Foundation, Primary, and Secondary phases, along with a 25 meter pool, a dedicated ballet studio, science labs, and a large football pitch at the heart of the site. Outside the regular timetable, the school runs one of the more extensive after school programs in the city, with more than 100 clubs spanning sports, robotics, performing arts, and language options including Mandarin and Japanese.

Entry into the youngest year groups is largely first come, first served, while places from Year 1 onward are assessed through testing, an interview, and reports from the student's previous school. Given the school's reputation, popular year groups often carry a waiting list, founded in 1926, Amnuay Silpa counts six former Thai prime ministers among its alumni.
