CARE runs ABA-based programmes organised into four clear age bands, from intensive early intervention for under-threes through to a transition programme for young adults up to 26. That last band is unusual in Bangkok. Most providers stop at school-leaving age, and families of older teenagers often find the options thin.

The stated emphasis is on independence, life skills and taking part in the community rather than clinic-bound drills. Supervisors sit in on sessions regularly, and the team runs training in both Thai and English, which makes them a reasonable option for mixed-language households and for Thai school staff who need coaching.

They are on Charoen Rat Road in Bang Kho Laem, which is south-west of the usual Sukhumvit cluster. Factor the trip into your thinking if you are committing to several sessions a week.
