Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital

The hospital the Sukhumvit international school crowd actually uses, and the one most often named in the Facebook group. Samitivej sits in the middle of the expat residential corridor, which is half its appeal, and it has built its reputation on children's and women's health specifically rather than on medical tourism generally. Paediatricians who speak English, Japanese and Arabic, walk-in appointments that usually work, and a children's wing that feels designed for children rather than retrofitted.
Worth knowing
Convenience is the product here and it is priced accordingly, though it still undercuts Bumrungrad for routine visits. The Sukhumvit campus is the one families reach for, but the serious paediatric firepower, the PICU, the children's emergency department and the specialist units, is out at the Srinakarin campus rather than on Soi 49. Worth knowing before you drive to the wrong one with a sick child.
