Thanksgiving Dinner in Bangkok 2026: The 5 Best Places for Turkey
October 15, 2026 · by BKK Families

Thanksgiving 2026 falls on Thursday, November 26, and in Bangkok it is just another Thursday. The BTS is packed, the 7-Elevens are humming, and nobody at the office has heard of the Pilgrims. But if you grew up with the smell of roasting turkey and football in the next room, that fourth Thursday in November still pulls hard.
Here is the good news. Bangkok does Thanksgiving better than you would expect. Five-star hotels roll out carving stations and pumpkin pie, a 40-year-old Cajun institution deep-fries its birds, and the supermarkets along Sukhumvit stock enough cranberry sauce to make a Pilgrim weep. Below are the five best places to get Thanksgiving dinner in Bangkok, plus a full game plan for cooking the feast at home if your kitchen is up to it.
A quick word on timing. Bangkok restaurants usually announce their Thanksgiving menus in early to mid November. The prices and menus below come from the 2025 season, so use them as a reliable guide to what to expect, and check back: we update this page as 2026 details land. Whatever you choose, book early. The good tables go fast, especially for big families.
Football fans, set an alarm. Bangkok runs 12 hours ahead of New York in late November, so the traditional Thanksgiving Day NFL games kick off in the middle of the night here. Plenty of families do turkey on Thursday evening and catch the Lions game over Friday breakfast. Honestly, it is not a bad deal.
The best Thanksgiving dinners in Bangkok at a glance
Prices are 2025 Thanksgiving prices unless noted. In Thailand, "++" means 10% service charge and 7% VAT are added at the end, while "net" means what you see is what you pay.
1. The Landmark Bangkok (BTS Nana): the old-school expat tradition. Regular Atrium dinner buffets run 1,900 to 2,200 THB; Thanksgiving 2026 pricing is still to be announced.
2. Bourbon Street (BTS Ekkamai): Southern comfort and the best value. The buffet was 999 THB in 2022; 2026 pricing is still to be announced.
3. JW Cafe, JW Marriott (BTS Ploenchit): the most classic turkey spread. 2,800 THB net, soft drinks included.
4. Shangri-La Bangkok (BTS Saphan Taksin): turkey with a river view. 2,400 THB net at the cafe or 2,900 THB net on the dinner cruise, half price for ages 6 to 12.
5. InterContinental Bangkok (BTS Chit Lom): the family pick. 1,900 THB++ per adult and 950 THB++ for ages 7 to 12.
1. The Landmark Bangkok: the expat Thanksgiving classic
The Landmark Bangkok, 138 Sukhumvit Road, connected to BTS Nana

I will be upfront about this one. The Landmark is where I went for Thanksgiving, many times, during my years living in Thailand. Some American traditions you carry with you. Others you build from scratch in a new city, and for me, Thanksgiving at The Landmark became one of those. Walking in off the heat of lower Sukhumvit into a room full of turkey, gravy and American accents felt like the closest thing to going home without a 20-hour flight.
I am not the only one. The Landmark has been doing Thanksgiving for years, and longtime expats will tell you it earned its reputation. Bangkok guides have long counted it among the best Thanksgiving dinners in town, with two ways to celebrate under one roof: a big Thanksgiving spread at the Atrium buffet, and a smaller, cheaper turkey-and-pumpkin-pie dinner at The Huntsman Pub downstairs. Expat food writers have also noted the hotel's habit of offering good deals even on Thanksgiving, a rare thing in this city in November.
What to expect now. The Atrium got a full makeover and reopened in September 2024 with seven live cooking stations. Western, Japanese, Thai and seafood stations sit side by side, so the grilled river prawns and steamed crab roe share real estate with the carving board. That mix is exactly why it works for so many Bangkok families. Your American side gets turkey and stuffing. Your Thai side, or your Thai grandparents, get som tam and khanom jeen. Nobody leaves hungry, and nobody leaves annoyed.
Regular Atrium dinner buffets have run 1,900 to 2,200 THB per person, and the Atrium often shows up on Eatigo, Hungry Hub and Klook with promo pricing. Thanksgiving 2026 details are not out yet, so call the hotel or watch its offers page from early November.
Take the BTS to Nana. Sukhumvit traffic on a weeknight in late November is no joke, and the hotel connects straight to the station.
Ask about The Huntsman Pub too. If the full buffet is more than your crew needs, the pub has historically been the lower-key Thanksgiving option.
Want the skyline? The Rib Room and Bar Steakhouse sits on the 31st floor. It is a great spot for a post-feast drink with a view. Book at landmarkbangkok.com.
2. Bourbon Street Restaurant and Oyster Bar: Thanksgiving, New Orleans style
9/39-40 Sukhumvit Soi 63 (Ekkamai), about a 5-minute walk from BTS Ekkamai

If The Landmark is the classic, Bourbon Street is the legend. American Doug Harrison opened it back in 1986, which makes 2026 its 40th Thanksgiving season in Bangkok. It started on a tiny soi off lower Sukhumvit and moved to its current three-story home on Ekkamai in 2011, complete with a bar running down the dining room and a boutique hotel upstairs.
The Thanksgiving buffet here leans proudly Southern. Past spreads have featured Cajun deep-fried turkey, jambalaya, oyster soup and crab cakes alongside the usual turkey, stuffing and pie. It is loud, friendly and packed with Americans who have been coming for years. One Bangkok property site put it bluntly: nearly every American expat in the city has done Thanksgiving here at least once.
It is also the best value on this list. The 2022 buffet ran 999 THB, a fraction of hotel prices. In some years it has run all day Thursday with an encore on Friday evening, handy if your kids have school the next morning.
Go early. In 2022 they stopped taking reservations after 4pm, so the dinner rush can mean a wait. Order a dozen oysters while you wait for the carving board; it is called an oyster bar for a reason. Watch Bourbon Street's Facebook page in early November for the 2026 dates and price.
3. JW Cafe at JW Marriott Bangkok: the most American spread in town
JW Marriott Hotel Bangkok, 4 Sukhumvit Soi 2, near BTS Ploenchit
If your idea of Thanksgiving is the exact meal Grandma made, start here. In 2025, JW Cafe built its buffet around a Butterball turkey with chestnut stuffing, cranberry sauce and giblet gravy, then kept going: honey-glazed ham, dry-rub pork ribs, roast lamb and Australian Wagyu.
The sides are where it really feels like home: mac and cheese, creamed corn, maple-glazed carrots, roasted pumpkin and Brussels sprouts with bacon. Then the Bangkok part kicks in. A seafood display with king crab, rock lobster, river prawns and oysters sits next to Japanese, Indian, Thai and dim sum stations. Dessert is a full production, with pies, a cranberry apple cobbler and a s'mores and chocolate fountain station that will keep the kids busy while the grown-ups linger.
2025 price: 2,800 THB net per person including free-flow soft drinks, served 5:30pm to 10pm on Thanksgiving night. Reservations: +66 2 656 7700.
Hosting at home instead? The hotel's Bangkok Baking Company has offered Thanksgiving takeaway menus, so you can get JW-quality turkey without the JW-sized bill for the whole family.
4. Shangri-La Bangkok: turkey on the Chao Phraya
Shangri-La Bangkok, 89 Soi Wat Suan Plu, Charoen Krung Road, next to BTS Saphan Taksin

Got relatives flying in from the States? This is the one that makes them say "wait, this is Thanksgiving?" In 2025 the Shangri-La gave you two ways to do it. At NEXT2 Cafe, a riverside buffet served herb-roasted turkey with stuffing, cranberry compote and pumpkin pie. Or you could take the same feast onto the water aboard the Shangri-La Horizon Cruise, eating turkey while the temples and towers of the riverbank slide past.

NEXT2 Cafe buffet (2025): 6pm to 10pm, 2,400 THB net per adult and 1,200 THB net for ages 6 to 12.
Horizon dinner cruise (2025): 7pm to 9:30pm, 2,900 THB net per adult and 1,450 THB net for ages 6 to 12.
Book the cruise early. Seating is limited, so grab it the day the 2026 menu drops. Skip the drive, too: the BTS to Saphan Taksin puts you a short walk from the hotel, and the river breeze in late November is the best weather Bangkok gets all year.
5. InterContinental Bangkok: the family pick (Santa included)
Espresso, InterContinental Bangkok, 973 Phloen Chit Road, connected to BTS Chit Lom
With young kids, the best Thanksgiving is the one where everyone is happy and nobody melts down before pie. Espresso at the InterContinental nails that. The 2025 buffet ran from chilled seafood to Thai, Mediterranean, Chinese, Japanese and Middle Eastern dishes, with live pasta and grill stations and, of course, a turkey carving station anchoring the room.
The secret weapon is the lobby. Before dinner the hotel set up canapes and drinks by the Christmas tree, and Santa himself made an appearance for photos. Yes, Bangkok skips straight from Halloween to Christmas, and Thanksgiving gets folded right into the middle. Your kids will not complain.
2025 price: 1,900 THB++ per adult and 950 THB++ for kids aged 7 to 12, served 6pm to 10:30pm. That makes it one of the better-value five-star options for a family of four.
Getting there: the BTS Skywalk from Chit Lom drops you right at the hotel, so no taxi wrangling with tired kids. Ask for a table near the carving station. Trust us, the shortest walk to seconds matters.

Making Thanksgiving at home in Bangkok
If you have a real oven, a decent counter and the patience of a Pilgrim, hosting Thanksgiving at home in Bangkok is completely doable. It is also one of the best ways to share the holiday with Thai friends, neighbors and colleagues who have only ever seen it in movies.
First, the oven test. Plenty of Bangkok condos come with two burners and a microwave, and a lot of Thai ovens are countertop models. Measure yours before you buy a bird. If a whole turkey will not fit, a turkey breast or a spatchcocked (flattened) bird cooks faster and fits smaller ovens. And start early in the day. Running an oven for hours in a Bangkok kitchen at 2pm is a sauna you did not book.
Where to buy a turkey in Bangkok
One thing surprises new arrivals: according to longtime expats, most imported birds here are sold frozen and fully cooked, because raw US turkey imports have been restricted for years. That means you are usually reheating and dressing up a Butterball, not roasting from raw. Want a raw bird to cook from scratch? Ask the butcher counter at a specialty grocer to source a Thai-raised turkey. Turkey farming has taken off in Isaan, around Nakhon Phanom and Sakon Nakhon.
Villa Market: frozen pre-cooked Butterball turkeys and the deepest shelf of American holiday staples. The Sukhumvit 33 branch has taken orders for prepared Thanksgiving dishes with a few days' notice.
Gourmet Market and Central Food Hall: frozen pre-cooked Butterball turkeys. Central Chidlom's food hall has sold roast turkey and sides by weight in past years, perfect for a small crowd.
Foodland: ready-to-roast and cooked turkeys. Most branches are open 24 hours, handy for last-minute gravy emergencies.
Makro: frozen whole turkeys, often the best price per kilo. Bring a cooler bag and buy the rest of your groceries in bulk.
Thawing math. Butterball's rule of thumb is 4 hours of fridge time per pound, which works out to roughly 9 hours per kilo. A 5 kg bird needs about two days, so buy by the Monday of Thanksgiving week at the latest.
Ordering a cooked Thanksgiving turkey in Bangkok
No shame in it. Plenty of families back home do the exact same thing.
Sunrise Tacos: Bangkok's go-to for delivered holiday turkey. Hot roasted Butterball, whole or half, with sides, delivered across Bangkok for a 250 to 500 THB fee, or free pickup at Sukhumvit Soi 10.
Bangkok Baking Company at JW Marriott: Thanksgiving takeaway menus straight from the hotel kitchen.
Mexicano at Rembrandt Hotel: in 2024, a fully cooked US-import turkey of 4 to 5 kg with stuffing, sides, cranberry sauce and gravy cost 5,999 THB net, with whole pumpkin and pecan pies at 699 THB each. Prepaid orders only, so plan ahead.
Where to find the Thanksgiving fixings
The imported aisles at Villa Market and Gourmet Market are your best bet for the canned and boxed classics: cranberry sauce, canned pumpkin, boxed stuffing mix, fried onions for the green bean casserole, pecans and marshmallows. Expect US-plus prices, and shop by mid November. The holiday stock thins out fast once every American family in Sukhumvit has the same idea.
Give your Thanksgiving a Thai twist
The most fun Bangkok Thanksgivings borrow from the market down the street.
Pumpkin pie with fak thong. Roast and puree Thai pumpkin instead of using a can. It is dense, sweet and makes a seriously good pie.
Sweet potato casserole with Thai sweet potatoes. The orange and purple varieties at any fresh market work beautifully, and the purple one turns heads.
Long beans for green beans. Thai long beans (thua fak yao) hold up great in a green bean casserole.
Leftovers, Isaan style. Turkey farmers up north turn their birds into turkey larb and turkey tom yum. Friday's lunch is sorted. So is turkey khao pad.
If you have a mae baan or housekeeper, Thanksgiving is a great one to cook together. You teach the stuffing, she teaches the nam jim, and everybody wins.
